Founder
Jennifer Collins is a passionate mother and advocate for transformative education. With her rich experience in sending her own children to public schools, private institutions, and homeschooling, Jennifer is driven by a desire to create an educational environment that challenges traditional norms and inspires young minds, fosters intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning.
Shauna LaRocque
ASL
Shauna is the owner of CrashWorks and the homeschooling mother of nine. A former public school teacher with a passion for process based learning, she is excited to bring new creative processes and adaptive learning to the students of Curious Minds!
Ky Reitenour
Art
Ky (they/them) has been surrounded by the vibrant world of art for as long as they can remember. From their early childhood, they remember their mother pulling out the canvases and paint supplies on a regular basis. They quickly found solace and inspiration in drawing, turning blank pages into canvases of imagination. This lifelong passion led them to pursue a formal education in art at Midwestern State University, where they are committed to honing their skills and exploring diverse artistic expressions.
Elly Reitenour
Science
Elly is a dedicated educator and an advocate for project-based learning. After retiring from the Army in 2014, Elly transitioned to education and homeschooling her two children. She quickly learned that hands-on science was her jam, and found her true calling in the classroom. With over a decade of teaching experience, Elly has mastered the art of engaging her students through hands-on instruction, allowing them to explore the wonders of science in a dynamic and interactive way. Her enthusiasm for the subject matter shines brightly, inspiring her students to cultivate a love for learning that extends far beyond the classroom.
Macy Davis
Theater
Macy Davis is a senior at Midwestern State University and is pursuing her degree in Theatre Education. She’s so excited to be joining the team at Curious Minds. This is such a great opportunity and she is so grateful to be trusted with this responsibility. She is passionate about helping children see the value in theatre and how it’s so much more than just for fun (But still fun nonetheless!!). Macy is ready to nurture the artistic ability of these students while they explore the world of theatre together!
